Aunt Maggie's Quilt

In 2009 Alice developed a show titled “Aunt Maggie’s Quilt” for the opening of an exhibit of quilts made by members of The Friendly Quilters, an African American quilting circle based in Bucks County.   Aunt Maggie’s Quilt” was a solo show commissioned by the Friendly Quilters, an African American quilting group that still exists in Bucks County.  Since slavery times African American quilts have served as repositories of stories so it is fitting that  Alice developed a distinctly African American show around the theme of quilting.
